A note from the founder…
I’m convinced that the health crisis we face today, where people are drowning in the toxic soup of chronic illnesses and metabolic diseases without any sure answer as to why is tied more deeply to the spiritual crisis than we could ever know. As the culture has embraced modernity, it has gotten sicker and sicker, losing touch with the ancient roots of man.
We are body + soul. Our journey to heaven is not a disembodied event. Men today more often than not toss out one for the other. The body is the horse and the soul is the rider; in order to complete our journey upon this earth well, we must tend to both. However, longevity or health is not our end but rather a means to serve man’s ability to embrace the mission of Christ, soaring higher and bringing the world with him.
The thief comes to kill and steal and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). To live leavened is to live in the abundance of Christ, which is strength against the enemy. Leaven is a culture of men who go against the grain of the world to reclaim abundance of authentic, thriving, Catholic masculinity in Christ Jesus.
Simplicity is the remedy to the spiritual and physical toxicity that we face in this world. The cure to this great plague is not a product of tomorrow but a forgotten secret of yesterday. It’s time to tap into the ancient ways. Rediscover them with Leaven, and watch yourself come alive.
