In the garden, there was original holiness and justice. This condition describes the harmonious relationships man shared in:

• harmony between man and self

• harmony between man and other

• harmony between man and creation

• harmony between man and God

At its very core, sin ruptures. It separates. And so, when sin pierced into the fabric of the world, it brought forth the great divide. Hence, the fourfold rupture:

• rupture between man and self

• rupture between man and other

• rupture between man and creation

• rupture between man and God

Man was no longer living in the rich abundance of God’s divine life, and we could not have restored these ruptures on our own. That is why Christ traveled the way of the rupture to redeem it from within.

Although his fermented love was spilled out once and for all, we can reject it still. While our spirits are willing, our bodies grow weak, and we give ourselves over to unfaithfulness, once again rupturing what he has restored through his holy cross.

Leaven serves as an abiding remedy for such a terrible rupture caused by sin. Leaven is a culture of men after Christ, which has refused to live according to the grain of this world. The goal of Leaven is to help restore men to this relationships so that we might have deeper intimacy with God. It’s Christ’s love which has activated us, and now being vessels of such a heavenly reality, it’s time to rise up and activate the world.
